hello!

I’m stephanie. dog mom extraordinaire.

I am married to a high school wrestling coach and we live in a small town. We currently have four dogs, SnickersPollyElsie Jane, and Bentley. We lost Piper in May 2023 and Walter in June 2024.

I adopted my first dog in 2019. This started me on a path to save as many dogs as my husband will allow 😉. I particularly like senior dogs, it seems as though they are harder to get adopted out and my goal in life is to give them a wonderful ‘retirement’ in our home. I especially love adopting the ‘special needs’ dogs. Currently our ailments include: epilepsy, chronic pancreatitis, legs that cannot be used…but I tell you what – all of our babies are extremely active and do not let these ‘issues’ slow them down.

We have named our “retirement home’ A Bark To Remember. One day I hope to win the lottery and quit my job so I can just continually rescue dogs. That’s my life goal 😉

A brief History
