Miss Betty with her bestie/sister Elsie Jane. We got these two about a year apart and they are about a year apart in age. We typically take in adult/senior dogs, but when I saw Elsie, I was smitten and knew she belonged in our family (she’s my soul dog)! Then we decided Elsie needed a younger playmate because our two older ones don’t play with her. So, we got Betty. And they are besties and play all the time! And they get to grow up together❤️ #rescuedogs

The other day we gave the dogs breakfast and let them out like normal. It was around 4:30am. Elsie immediately started barking, but then it quickly turned into something that sounded like she was being hurt. I immediately ran outside (barefoot and in the dark) to try and find her. I thought something was attacking her….y’all, there was an opossum on the fence she was hollering at. 🙄 But, she has this bark when she gets too excited that sounds like she is being hurt. She gave momma a heart attack! 🤣❤️ #dogdrama
