Piper’s Adoption Story

Back in 2019, I was looking to add another dog to my pack. This was prior to meeting my husband, so it was just me and the two dogs I had at the time. I had been in contact with my rescue friend asking her about different dogs they had. None of them seemed like a good fit for us. Then I saw Piper on their website. I immediately fell in love. I knew she was the one for me.

I was in Missouri at the time and Piper was in Texas. So, she had to be flown up to me. The wait seemed like it was forever, but it was really only a week-ish. I was just so excited to have her! My dad and I went to the airport to get her and I knew I made the right decision getting her as soon as I saw her. She fit in with the other dogs immediately.

Sadly, we lost our Piper girl to cancer in 2023. She was the sweetest and most laid back girl. I spoiled her rotten for the few years that I had her. I miss her terribly, but even knowing now that we would only have her a few years…I would have done everything exactly the same.
