Polly Had to Go to the Emergency Vet
On Saturday, my husband and I were out running errands. When we got home, Polly was crying and limping. I initially thought she just jumped off the dog bed and landed wrong. I was hoping it would go away quickly. Unfortunately, she was still limping and in pain hours later, so we took her to the emergency vet.
They examined her and did some x-rays and it showed that she has a luxating patella in her back, left leg. Her kneecap kept popping out of place, and when that happened she couldn’t bend her knee and was in pain.
We currently have her on anti-inflammatory medication, a joint supplement, and lots of bed rest in hopes that it will help correct the issue and she won’t need surgery.
