Snickers Had Surgery

Last Tuesday our super senior, Snickers, had a big surgery. She had to have a mammary tumor removed and some teeth extracted. I always worry when our dogs have to go under anesthesia, but especially with Snickers since she is 15.5 years old. But, she is a very strong little gal and she pulled through with no issues.

This is actually the second mammary tumor Snickers has had, both in the same spot. She also has very little teeth remaining, so we have been through this surgery before.

The vet said when Snickers woke up after surgery, she was sassy as can be and let them no she wanted absolutely nothing to do with wearing a cone. I ended up buying her a recovery body suit so she could be more comfortable. By Thursday you would have never even known she had surgery. I had to fight to keep her immobile.
