We typically take in adult/senior dogs, but when I saw Elsie, I was smitten and knew she belonged in our family (she’s my soul dog)! Elsie immediately started barking, but then it quickly turned into something that sounded like she was being hurt. I immediately ran outside (barefoot and in the dark) to try and find her. I thought something was attacking her….y’all, there was an opossum on the fence she was hollering at. 🙄 But, she has this bark when she gets too excited that sounds like she is being hurt.
